We were engaged by the Sales Director of an investor-backed University Spin-out in the field of optical 3D measurement and inspection.

The organisation was struggling to gain traction beyond it’s early test-bed clients, resulting in increasing pressure from investors.

The Sales Director’s challenge was that traditional marketing tactics were failing to yield any results, mainly due to the difficulty in reaching and engaging technical teams within large manufacturing organisations.

Using a blend of research and proprietary industry data, we identified 605 aerospace and automotive manufacturers and managed a business development programme to engage the market.

By leveraging this highly-targeted data and positioning our approach to organisations as a research project, our activities uncovered 63 opportunities to meet with technical teams and explore live projects, representing a 10.4% conversion.

This enabled our client to build a robust pipeline and demonstrate to investors a viable route to market.
